A fabulous tour showcasing Tuscany and Northern Italy

I am so excited to offer this amazing adventure to Italy where food is a way of life and the scenery is stunning.

Italy has much to experience from incredible food and wine, culture and history. We will explore Florence and Cortona in Tuscany and Bologna and Verona in the north.

If you are looking for something other than the standard Italian Itinerary, this is it. You will not be disappointed. You will still see the places that everyone raves about, but with more.

This bespoke small group tour is hosted by me and I am keen to show you my favourite places in Italy as I introduce you to locals who will show us what they love most about their cities.

This trip is a combination of rest and relaxation, with a bit of indulgence mixed in together with real experiences of travelling in Italy.

I want to surprise and spoil you, while still keeping things authentic and real.

Join me and experience Italy at its best!

So, what are you waiting for? Let's go!

  • The primary means of transportation on this trip is by train. Train travel in Italy is a great way to travel long distances and arrives conveniently in the city centre.

  • Most transfers will be via taxi as these are the easiest way to move between train stations and hotels.

  • You MUST be able to manage your own bag and lift it into the racks yourself. Please ensure you pack lightly. You will need to negotiate stairs with your bag as some stations do not have lifts.

  • Spring & Autumn are great times of year to travel. Even though the weather is cool, the days are warm enough not to have to rug up.

  • The weather will range:
    • May: Florence 24°C - 12°C down to Cortona 21°C - 8°C
    • September: Florence 27°C - 15°C to Cortona 24°C - 11°C

  • Accommodation on this trip is twin-share, single travellers will be paired with another traveller. If you’d prefer not to share, a single room supplement is available at an additional charge. Please indicate your preference on your booking form.

  • Be aware that accommodation in Europe does not always have double beds, but rather two single beds that can be pushed together. Most of the time it is possible to separate them. But don't be shocked if there is little space.

I decided to go on the Painting in Italy Trip with Travel Charm because I had never been to Europe and thought it would be a great opportunity to see a place I had always dreamed of with like-minded people who enjoyed art, history, and nature as much as me.

I would recommend this trip to my friends and colleagues because it is not a rushed trip. There was plenty of time to relax and explore each place and embrace their way of life.

The best thing I liked about the Painting in Italy trip was staying in a place for six days or more to fully experience that area.

The accommodation was good and in a great position to access the points of interest nearby.
